Just wondering if i would need a parent with me when buying a paintball gun from a proshop even though without my parents there they can obviously tell that i have permission to do this. I am planning to purchase a marker from a store that i am sponsored by but i don't want to drive there and then they say that since i am still under 18, i can't purchase it. Any thoughts? Should i contact them first? I mean the person selling them will be able to tell that i am allowed to do this when i have a couple other markers in my gearbag so what should i do? Its not like its my first time buying a paintball marker.

Call up your pro shop and ask them. They'll know the answer better than anybody on here.

I would assume so, but a lot of pro-shops dont exactly follow the rules lol.

^Your best bet.

I agree with tk just call and ask.

I buy stuff with my own money from my proshop without my parents being there. I'm way under the age limit also......

If the actual owner is there then maybe, if it is just another baller then probably not.

I would think so, the only reason I see them not selling to you is if they think you're going to use paintballs for vandalism. If you were trying to go in and fill a 20oz co2 tank a buy a bag of the cheapest paint they have then I'd worry, but since you're buying a (I'm guessing)nice gun I dont think it'll be a problem.

If you are sponsored, they should give you it..

I mean like you should be able to buy it.

depends. sometimes if you are sponsored by the proshop they will but if you are just some random person odds are no.

The only reason a store might be reluctant to sell you a marker is if you are just buying some cheapo gun. If you are buying something a little higher end then they know you arent going to use it for a negative purpose.

Ok. Thanks guys. The main reason is that I sometimes carpool with teammates so my mom/dad wouldn't be there. Hopefully if the cashier person is a problem, i could ask to speak with the manager who is helping the team out.
