So I am watching The Middle on TV with my wife and daughter and three of the characters were playing Paintball. I kinda got real psyched.

Next moment I am screaming at the TV. My wife starts glaring at me and asked what the heck i was yelling about! I said, "All Three of Them would be kicked from my field." She looks quizically and said, "For what?"

I said, "They lifted their mask in the middle of the game." I was not happy.

Ya, King of Queens had a paintball episode. On top of no refs at all, and what looked like something organized in their backyards it was just all around sillyness... which I can accept. But man, removed masks everywhere. I'm pretty sure they were even shooting at each other without masks at various points. Shows definitely don't put the portrayal of safety at the top of their list in production, but why would they? It doesn't make for good TV, sadly. I mean, comparably how many shows do you see go through the trouble of making sure everyone riding a bike has their helmet on, for example?

Pretty typical for TV... Since with masks on you have no clue who is who... So they lift their masks so you can "see" their acting. It was pretty obvious that isn't normal "paintball"... Especially when the mom get flat out lit up running across the field... She looked like she got hit about 25 times at least.

But... It's TV.

And we all should know that TV isn't REAL. But, it does bring exposure of paintball to the public, which is good, and it was even portrayed as a "really fun time" as well.

That show cracks me up btw. (first episode of "the middle" this season is what we are talking about). I loved the huge fake paint "splats" on the actors too.

The big bang theory did an episode like that. One character got lit up without a mask on. But its tv, you have to see peoples faces.
