Ion Bolt Stop o'rings wearing out I think it's called the bolt stop

The donut that the bolt tail passes through, think it's the bolt stop. The large o'ring on my brothers keeps going bad. As far I know this doesn't move. So the question is why does the large o'ring keep going bad?

you can close this thread. It was his inside o'ring and there turned out to be a burr on his bolt tail.
