Havent heard much about the proton, but personally, I like the mini. PERSONAL OPINION. I would get what feels better to you. To me, the invert mini fits my small hands perfectly. The mokal aura to me was too stretched out. If you can, I would check some out at a pro shop. But definitely get more feedback then just mine.

the got extcy is the best for that price, the mini is too small for most people, and i don't know much about the aura or proton, but they're not very popular choices.

I love mini's, try it. If you don't like the Mini the eXTCy is the way to go.

the extcy sucks if you like doing repairs and cleaning it yourself. There is one servicable part in the whole gun. It is also heavy and uses ion barrels. On the other hand protons use autococker threads, you can clean the whole gun, its lighter, and you can switch modes so the proton is the way to go.

I've shot both. The aura/proton seems quirky. I've had 2 minis and I loved them both. The most recent is my current primary gun actually. I love the cheap price tag of the aura brand new they're like 280 so that's nice. But they don't offer any kind of upgrades. The mini has tons. I also would take the shot quality of my mini over the aura. Truthfully you can't go wrong with either one. Whichever one is cheaper for you.

If you can't find a deal on a mini. Pick up a mokal aura brand new on ansgear. They come in cool colors and they're super cheap.

Try both and whichever one feels better to you is better. Some people LOVE Minis, and some absolutely HATE them. The ergonomics are very different, but if you're comfortable with them, it will reward you with great shot quality. It also uses autococker threads which are pretty much universal, and there are lots of upgrades. Another to consider is the DP G5, the GOG eXTCy, and a Proto Rail 2011. It all comes down to whatever you like the most. Ask a few people at a local field and tell them you're looking to buy a gun. Ask them to let you shoot their gun and 9/10 times they'll say yes, people love to brag about their stuff
