This is technically my second setup ever for paintball but, I had quit for a little while and I am just starting to come back into the sport. In the past I mainly played woodsball/scenario but now I am playing mostly speedball/scenario.

Ok now for the setup!

SETUP!

1. First off lets do the marker. The marker I am using is a 2011 Proto Rail in just dust blue. So far I am really liking the marker but, since I haven't played a real match (just target shooting and firing tests on some innocent cans.) I can't really give a justified "review" on the gun.

2. Next we have my tank. Now, my tank is probably seen as a "starter" tank but, we'll leave that to you guys since this is a rate my setup post! It is a Empire 48/3000 hpa tank. Pretty heavy but for the price, couldn't pass it up.

3. Thirdly, I am using the Empire Halo Too loader. like I said before, with no real match use, I can't have an opinion yet.

4. For the security of my face, I am using a JT Proflex mask in red/black and smoke thermal lens. Its an extremely comfortable and light mask.

I just want to see how you guys would rate this setup. Keep in mind it is a semi "budget baller" setup but, I am looking to upgrade equipment as I get better at speedball. Thank you guys ahead of time and I appreciate the input!

Also, if you live in the Jacksonville, Florida area, inbox me so we can play sometime!

VERY nice setup for your first.

If you can get a 68/45 you'd be golden for the next 5 years.
Give me gunz for my gunz.

10000000x better than my first setup. It'll treat you well.

I likes. But be wary of your ears while wearing pro flexes.
I hope you realize I don't care what you shoot because to me you're just another target on the field.

Its pretty good, ifyou want to upgrade the tank and a magna hopper shell conversion kit which is like $5. the magna shells alot more durable than the halo shells.
It is not my prerogative to please you.

Thats a great first setup! Just grab yourself a 68/4500 or whatever size carbon fiber tank, and you'll be good...forever. Anything else you buy is out of luxury, greedy gunwhoreyness, and curiousity.

Great choices can't go wrong with any of them.

Just be careful with the proflexes. It isn't the best mask if shot in the mouth...or ears.

The only thing you might be better off with is a carbon fiber tank in the future.

If you enjoy it then it is a great set up. The only thing I would say is watch your ears with that mask. I think someone told me the other day you can get an upgrade for better protection on the ears. I haven't used that mask though

Thank you guys for all the input! I agree that the mask may pose a little problem with getting shot in the face but, I got some large ear pieces so its really just gonna be the neck I have to worry about but, oh well. Little paintball shot to the neck never hurt anyone ;)
