So now that I'm finally getting in shape, I got my diet in check (I have a little extra or something unhealthy every so often). And now that I've got exercises it's time to try and hit my desired weight around 170.

Starting weight May 12: Around 197.
First official TPB update May 30th: Around 187, will get official weight in the morning.


But otherwise I feel great, it sucks exercising after eating something not healthy, but I feel amazing after a workout.

10 Pounds that quick? Nice most people can't pull that have u worked out before? Cardios ur bestfriend in weight loss so I say u add long jogs with short all out sprints in between if u haven't already

I cut my calorie intake down about a 1000, and besides, I can't really trust my scale. It said I weighed 192 this morning, while it was saying around 187 a couple days ago.

EDIT: I drank water when I weighed myself this morning, I weighed myself after school and got 187.

your body weight will fluctuate throughout the day, mainly due to fluid. Weigh yourself in the morning before eating or drinking.

And with me going to plyos starting next week I'll start seeing more results.

My doctor recently had me start changing my lifestyle, and actually I have the exact same goals as you; I'm 197 now, and I need to get to 170. I'm drinking 90% water (no pop or carbonated drinks anymore) and I eat everything in moderation, along with 45 minutes of moderate to heavier cardio every day, plus when I ride my bike with friends or swim.

The first two weeks will kill ya, I'll be honest. But the extra energy is so worth it.

And I rarely exercised and still dropped around 13 pounds.

Also, try celery as a filler food, just to get rid of hunger pangs for an hour or two.

Did some weightlifting this morning, didn't squat, dead lift, or power clean.

But I did arm and chest stuff, and leg press stuff, feels good, but my arms are going to be dead.

And anyways I'm still around 184, possibly 183. My goal weight by end of August is 165. Or close to it.

As distortion said weigh yourself in the morning as soon as you wake up. I pee first too. Your weight will fluctuate but if you are maintaining a calorie deficit the trend should be steadily downwards. If you hit a plateau try eating an extra 250-500 calories above your daily limit for one or two days then go back to your regular diet. This generally gets things moving again. Good luck!

Also if you don't trust the scale just spend $20 and buy another one. They last forever and there is no point worrying about it if the cost to fix the problem is minimal

My scale is fine, I got the same weight on a different one. And when I weigh myself in the morning I make sure I drop a brownie in the brownie bowl and pee. That usually gives me an accurate weight.

Tried some interval running today, my yard is like 40 yards wide, so I did 20 of those. Sprint to one side and walk back, if I wasn't feeling that strained I sprinted to one side then jogged back, otherwise I really enjoyed it.

And, it looks like I'm sitting on 181.

You best be using that proper form when power cleaning or I may have to come over and smack some good form into you.
