which one and why?

Well, I rode up to my local store today to ask the guy that owns it what he would choose between an ego7 and a vice
Keep in mind, he's been playing paintball for 20 year and played pro for many years. He knows stuff
Anyway he said most likely the ego, but he did have trouble deciding. This was an 07 ego I asked about, so I can only guess he'd say ego8 hands down in this case.
-He said that Egos are more reliableand easier to maintain
-He's never chopped a ball using an ego. He's been using egos since like 05 or so and uses them 99% of the time
-He played with the vice this weekend and chopped 80 balls in 4 cases. He's pretty sure he's got it figured out though.

i would like to know from a different perspective tho too, cause i heard its REALLY easy to maintain a Vice and that it ALMOST NEVER chops, i would just like to hear from someone else too, but that is a good side of an opinion, which would be experience with the guns to back up the opinion

Yeah I don't think he was saying that Vices are hard to maintain, just Egos are a little easier
As far as the chopping, I'm with you. Never heard anybody complaining of chopping. But he did say hes got it fixed

Oh and in my last post, I never said my opinion haha
I would choose the vice. I LOVE teching guns, it's my main job on my team
So I wouldn't mind the tiny bit of extra work
Also, my team practices out in the desert, so there's no refill stations
Thus, the efficiency is a big deal for us.
Also, that 4-eye system really appeals to me. I just think it's amazing genius. Even if I don't get it right away, I'd like to have the option

I love Bob Long, but if we're comparing those two i'd have to say the Ego. But if a Closer was thrown in i'd the that, as long as the trigger was replaced, i personally don't like the stock one

EGO IS BY FAR A SUPPERIOR DESIGNED MARKER. AS FOR EFFICENCY -THE VICE WINS THIS STOCK , BUT ADD A HIGH PRESSURE VALVE TO THE EGO8 AND IT WILL BE PAR. MUST ADMIT THEIR AINT NOTHIN LIKE THE ORIGINAL INTIMIDATOR AS A VICE IS THOUGH! BUT EGO IS JUST WAY MORE REFINED FROM AN ENGINEERS POINT OF VIEW.

The Viceis an Amazing Gun but vs.an 08 I would have to go with the ego. I would take a vice over the 07 though.

i am pretty sure he meant ego 08 considering thats what the title of the thread says. i would probably go ego, mainly because i like when my guns come with lube, orings, tools and manuals.

That is what I meant. But I think I am going to go get a second job at Mcdonalds and save for an 09 Ego.

Get the vice. half the price and heres whats better

4 eyes which lets you shoot faster (capably)
pillow bolt- NO CHOPS ( I am sure that guy had barrel breaks)
Bob long customer service- BEST SERVICE.
