personally, JT Stinger Toxin gets the job done for me. They are $25 a case and really no dimples at all. I would say they break more than 75% of the time. Some other people might dis-agree but I have had no problems with them.

I always use Toxin too. I get it for $20-$30 bucks. the way i see it i can have 4 cases of this for the same price as 1 case of high end stuff. 4x the fun. I wouldnt use it for a tournament but for rec play its great.

DXS Midnight hands down. I prefer it over premium and it breaks more than 80% of the time on a person. Also the fill is bright and is pretty thick too. I also like the shell colors :)
I have a video comparing it to other paints, skip to about 1:47 if you don't care about bore sizing.

Draxxus Midnight, JT Rec paint, and Visible Impact. All are decent for the price you pay for them.

Become a sports authority member, it's free and you can get 20-25% of an item each month. I normally there buy the XBall Podium series paintballs. They are tournament lel and are extremely good, in my experience. See te dates on the boxes, the newer ones never have any dimples on em. They cost $45 - the 25%, you paying $34. Awesome stuff for that price.

Two local fields use Diablo Heat as their field paint, so I've had a lot of time to use it. It has a thick shell and bright yellow fill. I've never had one chop on me or seen one swell or clump at the local fields, but this could be due to a good rotation of fresh stock.

I have two basic problems with the paint. The first is that a good number of shots seem to bounce, especially off markers, hands, forearms, and angled flat surfaces. The second is that, after breaking, the shots seem to be powdery or chalky and do not leave a good mark on clothing or especially skin. I've found it's sometimes hard to distinguish a bounce from a hit on open skin because the paint doesn't leave a good mark. Comparison paints like Valken Infinity and DXS Field leave an obvious, waxy glob that you have to peel off.

Valken Infinity if you want super cheap paint that will fly straight and break on target, the fill sucks though. Spend an extra 5 bucks and get Valken Fate. Best rec level paint I have shot.
