Looking to start or join a team. I've played a lot but nothing serious. I have been wanting to get on a team for awhile. I am competitive. I have a tippmann gun, have camo, but going to get new stuff soon. I live in Columbus Ohio. Anyway let me know

Go to local fields, and play. Meet new people.

I go to local places and I play games with people that don't know what the hell there doing. I play against people who played with each other for years and I try to talk to them about trying to let me play with them but underestimate me just for me being a female.

Why can't you if you're on their team?
You can still shoot people out, and mow faces.
As for the underestimation part, there is not much you can do. Unfortunately women are the minority in the sport, and some guys deem it necessary to discriminate against female players. You may be insanely better than them, but it won't change the fact that you are female, and according to their logic, you can never be as good as them.

By their logic, it doesn't matter. No matter how good you are, in their mind, they will always be better.
I would try to start a team if you can't join one.
Be prepared for the costs of a team though. (especially airball teams)

Jerseys, paint, pods, and other misc. expenses add up. Even joining a team will add up. You will put much more wear on your marker, than playing rec.
