I've been thinking lately about how someone could make a james bond/ starwars mini scuba tank and a 13 3000 came to mind. Any thoughts?

actually not true i scuba dive and we have something called a pony tank its the same size as a 13 and i have one. it all depends your depth and your breathing heavy its very interesting

that's nowhere enough air to be able to to anything underwater. you would get 30 seconds, maybe a minute of air. also, you should never go scuba diving unless you have been properly trained.

When it comes to scuba diving, only use equipment designed for Scuba diving. While I guess you technically "could" try to rig something up, personally I wouldn't even attempt it.

My dad (basically a professional level diver, could easily instruct if he had the time to) has seen a handful of people die scuba diving. I'm not sure how that man in the video died, as the most common death (that I know of) is when someone freaks out and attempts to rush to the surface as fast as possible. Anyway, don't try it, it might fix your curiosity, but it's definitely not worth risking your life.

Well, scuba divers often have very small emergency air tanks (roughly 13ci). It's enough for about 3-5 inhales. I guess it's possible to make one, but I wouldn't try it.

On the ACES II ejection seats used on my jet, there is a canister roughly the size of a 22ci tank that holds 1800 psi of oxygen (It's the green thing on the side). It only offers them a brief window of breathable oxygen before running dry (enough for the pilot to reach breathable atmospheric pressures in either an ejection or IFE).


So I'm sure there's a way to do it, but it's hardly practical for an actual scuba diving session.
As mentioned above, it would be better used as an emergency backup.

Thats what they are used for lol, those 13cc tanks are nothing more but bailouts. All you need to do is exhange the regs from a Paintball reg to a breathing reg for diving I think.

I'm pretty sure a paintball tank can't hold oxygen regardless if its hpa or not. You need proper scba to even consider diving. Wouldn't think twice about it.
