Ok so i have a wgp 2k+ pump. with cp reg cp barrel. My brother has one also, same everything! he has same body same reg same barrel. I noticed his is alot quieter than mine. Even when you dry fire it his is like a thump, mines kind of springy sounding. Also i have a leak coming from my gun and i have no idea where its coming from, its not the bolt.

Do you cock the gun before you air it up?

You guys probably have different spring set-ups. They can moderate the amount of air the valve releases and thus the sound signature. Also your air leak is probably the valve being held open. You have to either go with a lighter hammer spring or a heavier valve spring.

Your regs and IVG's are set differently, as well as possibly having different valves and springs.

IVG is just a little bit too loose on the main spring, lets it bounce around a little causing the spring sound typically, also make sure your reg is sweet spotted. if you have to turn your reg down to be in a legal speed, also don't hold the pump forward and chrono it like that, it will be quieter that way but you lose some efficiency.
