He's saying that Shockers really DID shoot farther until Bryce and Gordon rained on Sean Scott's parade and ruined it for everyone.

funny.

I'm not too worried about string theory making our testing irrelevant. :)

But really, if the mere observation of an experiment changes the outcome..... How can any experiments be correct?

Yeah, because paintball tests are contingent on quantum level events...

because we can repeat them and get similar if not identical results.
The ultimate truth in paintball is that the interaction between the gun and the player is far and away the largest factor in accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

Duh! I had this sort of tunnel vision for some reason, just thinking about one experiment.
Yeah.
So I got a question, how many time do you do an experiment? Once? Twice? Three times?

you could just keep doing it as many times as you want. the more times you do it, the more sure you can be of the outcome. but even one experiment is much better then no experiment.

This is an extreme perversion of quantum mechanics.

First, you need to do a better job defining what it means to "observe" something. Once you've done that you'll be able to figure out why what you're saying doesn't make sense.

What i mean is how many times do you guys (the guys at punkworks) conduct the experiment.

depends on the test. We always use sample sizes that allow us to determine to a pretty reasonable level the accuracy of our test. Consider each shot in an accuracy test a single event that we're measuring. We then repeat it 20-25 times. This gives us a data set that we can do math on.
