Hey guys, I recently sold my Empire Sniper off, along with my Axe, to buy an Ego11. I want another pump. I'm open to SC options, but I don't know much about them. I've been looking for a used Sniper, but I need people to tell me what to look for when buying one.

There isn't much you have to look for in a cocker, assuming you are going to pump it yourself. The pnumatics don't have to work(for obvious reasons),and it doesn't necessarily have to have a good reg. But,I would probably suggest a phantom if you want to switch from oc to msc to sc every day. And like I said above,if you plan on getting a sniper,it is usually a good idea to make your own,so that you can customize it to your liking(and,it's pretty fun).

First off, do you want smooth or rougher stroke?

I've played with a 6.5, so a smooth stroke is wonderful. I wish I could get it cheap, because I'd think about throwing a CCM frame/pump on it.

I've seen used ccms go for $400 shipped. You should go for a used ccm since a ccm at frame and pump kit is like $200 ish and ccm internals are like $75-100

I may have to look around. I just want the CCM 86* frame and pump kit. The other stuff isn't all that important to me.

the things to look for are what type of pump kit, what type of 'cocker body, and what upgrades there are.

I picked up my T2 off the Nation for $350 shipped. While the T2 was more refined than the Sniper, I like how robust the Sniper is. Maybe build your own? There's plenty of body kits for sale on MCB and PBN that would just require a frame.

I'm calling the cops, it's like you stole that t2 at that price!

I picked up a Prostock with a CCM kit for a little over $200.
It may not have had all the fancy bells and whistles, but it performed on the field just as well as my T2.

do you have a budget?.

you can't go wrong as long as it has a underbore barrel, single trigger, and the pump kit has dual guide rods.

Maybe try building your own Sniper? I prefer slider frames over hinges and that all CCM uses. Find a sweet body you like and put your favorite parts on.
