Well hello there! I have a question for ya'll. I am a referee at my local field and I want to actually start to play more. I play a lot but i got another job for summer so i can get more money and I need to pick up a gun that is affordable and will be suitable for me. I have an azodin zenith, but i am looking for something in the mid 250-400 dollar price range. I mainly play woodsball but i also sometimes play speedball (the ratio is about 4:1) I don't want a full out scenario type gun, but I want one that looks along the lines of a speedball gun. I was thinking an Empire Axe...any ideas?

You could get the etha and get the kit to ten it into a woodsball marker. Then just take it off when you play speed ball. Or go with the axe.

Save up for an Axe.

I personally would get a GOG Enmey.

look into a GOG eXTCy, it will work great for both and they are only like $250 new.

whatever you have left over save for paint or better gear.

GoG eNMEy if you want a mech, GoG eXTCy if you're in the 250 range, or an Empire axe if you have 450.

Honestly your shooting a basic low end electro now so I would avoid getting into a GOG as it's not much a step up. Hang on to find a AXE or ETEK in your price range.

The ETEK will offer similar ergos to your current azodin being a stacked tube poppet gun but offer better efficiency and reliability. The AXE will be smoother (inline poppet) and offer a better trigger feel in a reliable package. But some of the maintenance can be tricky.

If ya just want a new gun and just can't spring for the AXE or ETEK. You could look at a V3 Empire Mini. It's what the AXE is based of, much more compact (some say too much so) but does not come with the on/off Asa. But it's still an efficient smooth good shooter at a easier to achieve price point for those on a budget.

Well it's a decent electro, especially that it's an inexpensive, truly elecctropneumatic marker, that's a spoolie. I'd say the smoothness and sound signature of the GoG guns seem to be a decent step up from an Azodin. However, I agree on the Axe part. I would just save and get the Axe
