Is owning multiple paintball guns dumb or a waste of money? I just bought a dm13 and love it, but i miss my etek 4, the trigger was setup exactly how i wanted it and everyone complimented me on it. So is buying an ego11 or even older one or an etek 4 a waste of money since i already own a nice gun?

I don't think it's a waste to own multiple makers. I have 3. It's like owning multiple cars (if you're lucky enought to be able to): you have the sedan for daily driving, a pickup truck or SUV for moving shit and doing work, and the sports car in the garage with a cover for cruising on the weekends. You have a variety for whatever flavor you want that day.

My friends think it is a waste but I still own 6 pump guns and an azodin kaos and 3/4s of a alias. When we go to a scenario I take a turn with every gun and usually loan the kaos out to a new player with no gun. Like I say do watcha wanna do if you want 10 guns get 10 guns you like do not worry what we think.

Let's see, I own two Shockers, an Etha, a T8.1, a Delta68 pistol, some Splatmasters, and a couple of old blowback guns. There's no way I can use all of them in a day, but most of them have a permanent place in my gearbag.

Using a gun that's been hardly maintained and tossed from person to person more than a village whore is hardly a fair way to compare the marker.

Not in the slightest. Of course there is a limit everything and where the line goes is depening on how big you budget is. Having a backupmarker is nice in case your main shooter goes down or you can lend it to a friend, and i suppose a pump or magfed could be nice to have in case you want to save on paint. For example if you had something like 2 pods left and there is one or two games left. With a electro that can be a stretch if you are triggerhappy. But with a pump, you won't be able to throw to much paint down range.

Good to know guys. I don't feel like purchasing another one is such a waste now. We have a couple woodsball tourneys and what not that I'll need a more efficient gun for, plus I have a couple friends who play that I wouldn't mind loaning my guns to do they could pay for paint and what not. I'll probably pick up another one sometime in the near future.

I own 12 and I use 2 every weekend. I keep the ones I cherish and trade the rest. IMO it's to have a mix of what you like. So no, it's a good idea to have multiple guns, aslong as you can afford them

Ask that Pirate guy if he thinks having more than one gun is worth it.

Protip: Pretty sure he said he had 300+.

It's not a waste at all. I currently own an 09 Impulse, Vanguard Creed, Invert Mini, Ion XE, Tiberius T9.1, Armotech Zeus G2, and an old Viewloader blowback. Owning multiple guns is far from silly, people do it all the time with cars, real guns, and paintball guns along with counteless other hobbies. Different guns sit different purposes, and allow you to play in multiple playing styles.

I don't think so.

I usually like to have 2-3 set ups (at least masks, tanks, guns and hoppers and packs) when I am going places, so I always have back ups for everything. If your gun goes down, due to some freak accident like your board snapped in half or something, it's good to have something there to keep ya in the game!

Owning multiple guns is not a waste at all. I do feel bad when I have a marker that doesn't get any use so I try to keep it at 6 and divide up the times to play with them based on a few factors. I've got a SC pump and am electro semi for open play days, an OC pump and mech semi for scenarios, a loaner marker, and a marker that I take out each day at the field just because it's so much fun to play with.

Having at least 2 guns is a good idea because if your primary does down you have a backup to keep playing with.

It's your hobby; do whatever's fun. Personally, I enjoy building and collecting markers as well as playing, and when I do play, I love variety.

yeah when i broke 20 i decided i should cut back. i think im below 15 now. but that depends on if you count bag-o-guns as guns or not.
The ultimate truth in paintball is that the interaction between the gun and the player is far and away the largest factor in accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
