How long should I wait before I get skeptical and report to paypal that I didn't get the goods i purchased,

I bought something for 165, gave the money at night on the 14th

He didn't reply until the 16th and said sorry blah blah i've had work, and i'm going to the post office now i'll give a tracking number when I get home and thats the last i've heard of him...

How do I go about this?

He probably forgot. I'd wait at least 7 days if it was domestic shipping. If it doesn't show in 7 days from when he said he shipped ask him what's up. If he still doesn't reply file a claim with paypal and get your money back. It's only been 2 days, no need to worry yet. Have you pm'ed him asking for it again?

I believe you have like 30 or 45 days to file a claim with PayPal, so I'd wait a bit before doing that. At least wait the reasonable ammount of time it might take a package to get to you. Some people are just really bad at communication. I've had instances where the last I heard from someone was right after I paid, and no matter how much I tried to contact them they wouldn't answer, yet magically, I get a package a few days later.

Yeah i know I just wanted to know what the usual procedure was and i'm a little impatient because 'im going paintballin this weekend and wanted to try it lol and yeah i've pm'd him multiple times lol.

It still hasn't been a full week. I'd give it until monday, then you can get concerned. I would mention in his feedback that he is lacking in comms. No need to rush anything though. Even if you are being scammed "not likely" You have up to 45 days from the time you sent the payment to file a claim.

Definitely make sure to get him in his feedback for that, maybe it'll be a wake up call to be a little better at communicating. But if you get it before a full week's time is up, don't be too harsh.

I see that he is from Canada. If yor from the US then it will take longer to get your package since it being shipped over the boarder.

I understand that, he said he was shipping saturday, and he said he was going to the post office, anyone got any estimates on how long it takes from BC canada to Philly with i guess like regular mail? I'm just being impatient because its 165 of my money and i haven't heard a word from him. and i wanted to go this weekend to paintball and try it out but that looks unlikely.

do you have any other method of contact? Facebook, phone number or email? Does his profile allow you to email him?

I emailed him through that and still no answer, i actually also did some investigating on my own, i typed the paypal email into facebook and it comes up Vernon Kiesman i guess thats his dad and he recently uploaded ap icture of his son, Terry Kiesman (Tkiesman is the user so i assume this is him) And I click on the profile and it says his likes are like paintball and stuff and he's from canada so it all pans out and there was a phone number there but i respectfully messaged him asking him if he was tkiesman from techpb and if not ignore this and sorry for the hassle. But most likely it is. But no answer and i did that a few days ago.

Hmm. That does seem a little sketchy. I still wouldn't call him a scammer but this does seem a little shady. He hasn't been on since the 16th so he hasn't seen your techpb pm's most likely. Have you tried to see if he's on other forums like pbn or mcb?
