A quote from "24 Hour Games"
Hear ye, Hear ye!!
We're now producing games in Alabama AND in Georgia!
New field is in Commerce, GA - Battlezone Paintball - off of I-85, about an hour northeast of Atlanta.
battlezonepb.com
First game is scheduled for October 25-26, 2008. Theme on their website is probably going to change - most likely to a vietnam theme, or other "war" related theme. Second game there, at Battlezone, is the third weekend in November, the weekend after Doom's Toys for Tots game [can't help it - they'd already scheduled churches picking up toys, etc. for that weekend, but it is still a ways off (who knows)].
Come on out and put eyes on the field - they have 500 acres to play with, including about 50% wooded area with a Dalton-sized creek (when it was wet...) that looks bad-assed. Relatively moderate slopes and one hilltop area with a base and a proposed village. I'm talking to them about adding a lot of "natural" stuff to the field [burms, trenches, firebases, etc.] to make it more mil-sim than pallets, etc. Also looking to turn this thing into a single-theme field with a heavy focus on realism and turn it into a monstrous special effects playground.
What else?
Serious pro shop
Serious chronos
Serious refs
Serious air [Tony's former setup]
Lots of land [lots of land...]
Lots of different land
Tanker's paradise
TONS of level and grassed parking, in various areas of the land they have [different setups game to game!]
Lakeside farm house (just off field) with room for 40+- to stay in (sleeping-bags)
A few skiddish COWS! aka Moving bunkers!!
