I have the option to buy one or the other, which is better and why?

If efficiency isn't important, I'd say geo 2.

If smoothness isn't important, I'd say Ego 11.

I'm looking for the something that's going to be somewhat smooth, quiet, and I can at least get 1 game out of without running out of air. So I guess a balance of those characteristics.

Then get the geo 2. You should be able to shoot atleast/around 1000 balls. Ego gets about 1400.

Okay, thanks! Now I know I didn't put this in the original question but between the Geo and a new Nt11 which would be better for semi auto play?? Thanks for all the answers guys!

Well I've owned a nt, and my geo 2 comes in this saturday. Both will do fine in semi, but atleast with the way my nt was tuned, it was smoother, quieter, and more efficient than my friends geo 2. You really have to know NTs though. My never did have any issues.
If you don't feel comfortable will getting a HPR tester, and a more complex bolt, get the geo 2...

Alright, the field I play at most often is semi only so that's a huge factor in my decision because I know certain markers are better for certain play styles. If I don't feel comfortable getting a what? I just really like how the DYE guns have the color coded o-rings and the eye-pipe. I know they're more complex but that just seems like if I take the time to learn how to maintain it, will make the maintainence that much simpler for me.

NTs are very pressure sensitive. You set the reg to a certain pressure (the tester shows what pressure you're at), then get it to 300 without a spacer. Then drop velocity with the spacers. At least you do that with the nt10.
And the eye pipe is nice, but it and the orings are just niche things... Not needed...

What guns have you owned?

Skip the NT. Cybermaniac may be an exception, but anyone else here can tell you that most NTs have horrible reliability. It's commonly called the Proto SLG of high ends, and for good reason. I have personally seen 3 go down on the field, different NT every time as well. Steer clear of it.

Idk, maybe it's a SOCAL things, but I've never seen an nt go down.

It's basically a brand new nt11 I'm looking at so I don't know if that effects anyone's opinion but I haven't owned a high end gun. That is why I'm looking drop the money now, since I live about 10 mins from my local field and I now have a job to be able to go play every other weekend or whatever and just enjoy the atmosphere. I'm still considering the geo 2 but the nt11 is cheaper. But I may not get either, I'm going to my local paintball store tomorrow to get some gear and I may just find a marker that I like and buy it from them but it really depends.

The NT is cheaper for a reason, no one wants them. They're shit, shoot crap, unreliable and loud.

That actually makes sense haha, I will try to get the geo2 then. But I'm still going to the paintball store to try them out for myself and just test the ergonomics and see how I like them but I will probably end up with the geo.

Geo 2.1 if you play XBall / Ramping

Ego 11 if you play Semi Auto

Geo 2.1 if your field fills to 4500psi

Ego 11 if your field fills to 3000psi

Geo 2.1 if you like "tube" style, simple markers

Ego 11 if you are used to shooting poppets

Holy Crap!! Mike answered my post :D I have learned so much from your videos!!!
Anyways now that I got that out of my system, thanks for the tip. I will definitely look at the Ego's too now. I want to be able to hold the different markers before I make my final decision though.
