Feel free to post what you thought. I am going to tell you what I thought as a first time LL player.

What was I disappointed in:

The buses Why didnt CPX run them? The whole weekend just parked there not being used. While I may be an out of shape fatty, walking the 1/4 mile or whatever it is to the insertion, then the other 1/4 mile to the battle was brutal, and from what I heard from fellow players around me it sucked for everyone.

Communication It seemed like no one knew what the mission was, or where to go. At the insertion point people just said "Oh we got pushed at bedlam, lets go there". Now I don't know if this was just new empire side, but this is what I experienced.
Missions I kind of just touched on this in the communications, I dont know who was assigned missions. It seemed like specific teams were chosen to do a mission, rather than the team as a whole. Like I said it seemed like no one knew where to go. .This is all I can think of at the moment, may add more later.

On the last two, it was precisely the reason refs were pushing people to go immediately to the command tent upon insertion, to figure out where to go on the field. And the buses didn't run because the CPX water sprayer was down. Every time one of those big boys would have rolled down the road there would have been a huge dust storm.

I agree, i was disappointed in the way communications worked out. It would have been very difficult playing this year without a team around you. you also did not mention the paint fiasco

I don't know about empire but we always had someone who was able to tell us where to be and knew which squads were in charge of what missions...

I second that, this was by far my best LL event for knowing what was up...Sniperwolf or Murph would almost always be giving direction as to where we needed forces.

I got with unit leader right at the start of the day and found out what our objectives were. I couldn't make it to our first one because it was literally run to the opposite end of the field and hold a spot inside enemy territory...not really sure how that was supposed to work out. I never made it there, and after re-insertion it was hard to find where everybody had made it to, but from having been there in the morning, I knew what time my unit's next mission was, and I was there, about 10 minutes later because of going to hydrate and such, but I was there in meridia in the trenches. The thing is, there are only so many of us that are on the forums, and were preparing ahead to know what all the objectives are and what can score points for the team, and even though they talk about it during the player briefings, people that just show up, rentals, and walk on players, aren't too likely to have any idea what they're really doing. That really isn't the end of the world though because winning isn't nearly as important as having fun.

I didn't go to LL5 but after hearing a bunch of stories about it, it has gotten me interested in scenario paintball.

I agree on the whole communication thing. I had no clue what to do the whole weekend. A lot of that was probably my fault because it was my first event and i didnt really know who to go to but still some how i would love to see that improve.

constructive criticism: too far for reinsertion, i didn't play half as aggressive as usual knowing that i have a half mile to get back. and i think the entire weekend of play, i saw/used a medic one time... overall it was great but nothing separated it from any other scenario i've been to other than the environment off of the field and the people there (NPPL Chicago brought a lot of pro teams, and a lot of vendors which was really cool. something i've never seen). while on the field, same thing as every other scenario but with no medics and a huge hike back to reinsertion. I also felt like the missions were a little... lacking. that might have been because i wasn't in contact with the general or something... but everywhere I've been has had some pretty sweet missions, the overall size of the field and amount of players may have hindered that for me as an individual though so I could be totally wrong about that.
great experience overall though, it was really cool to see pro players and all of the vendors that were there... and meeting some of the techpb community. definitely a unique environment! maybe put some more medics out there, make some potential reinsertion points that if a flag there is still your team's color your team can reinsert there... i'm in great shape, i just don't wanna have to hike a mile everytime i get hit that's my only gripe about the whole thing. i wanna save/use my energy for the fighting and making moves......

I know for me I agree, the buses would have been great. I understand the water sprayer problem, but at your biggest event of the year at least get it fixed for one of the days.

Medics: we need more. I saw two medics on my team the whole event, and that's it. Last year there were so many more, making the game more fast and aggressive.

Tanks: Nuff said, I wish there was more this year, very dissapointed. Again I am comparing to LL4.

Communication: I was out of the loop all weekend, and I never got in on a single mission. We were told of mission, but they never happened. Along with the arm tape goof-up which caused us to miss the start of the game, I felt that lack of communication killed a lot of fun for me.

Rippers: please, never again. Cool guys, great players, but I am with the players that enjoy 2 teams only.

Upsides: Speedball field was really cool. I hope to see this return next year.

Pump night: Hell ya!

The vendors: good selection and felt bigger than last year-upside for me.

Overall I had a great time, can't wait till next year!

Well, I'll break it down into days:

Friday (evening): I did not see the chrono station open, and I later learned that many players did not chrono. I'm glad I didn't play. I got my paint early, registered in a timely fashion, and had time to walk around. I was happy at the amount of vendors, and food and drink prices were not outrageous. For my first time to CPX, the facilities were very, very nice.

Saturday: I got to the field early, and grabbed a table, chrono'd early, and had some down time. I thought the beginning of the day was great. It sucked to walk to the insertion, but I felt the missions were communicated to the Blood Legion very clearly. I hated that all of the garbage cans were over on the NPPL side. I had to walk a nice distance to throw a plate away. Otherwise, it was very nice that CPX was supplying water to the players too. I heard the buses were having trouble, so it sucked to walk (as I mentioned earlier).

Sunday: I thought Sunday was great too. Weather was slightly better, but the men's bathrooms were closed.

Overall, I was very happy with my first Living Legends. I've already started saving for LL6. I wish I could have gotten a tent, some chairs, and my own table, like the scenario teams had.

I hated when Mike ambushed a group of 8 of us wearing barely visible tape and over shot the shit out of everyone, then posted a video claiming to having got 50 people and only 1 ball bounced off him when I have video of paint exploding all around him and him running away with his hand up.

^^^ I didn't see your red armband tape either, you don't see me chasing you all over the internet whining like a fucking crybaby.

What did you want me to do? Walk up to you, show you that I had it on, take 50 steps back THEN open fire?

We had a female ref, at our spawn, that was checking EVERY SINGLE PLAYER walking out of the spawn to ensure they had blue arm tape.

I was tracking your group for over 100 yards. There was only ONE PERSON who saw me creeping on your group, and I barrel tagged him. You and that "patrick" fella that's been crying and bitching all over my Youtube channel for the past 2 days need to get over it.

Facts-

1) I had Blue arm tape on
2) You never saw me behind your group
3) You got lit up

All weekend long I got blown apart from head to toe, you don't see me chasing people all over the internet pissing and moaning "I didn't see your armband tape!" and accusing them of cheating. There was a referee, standing RIGHT next to me when I opened up on your group. You don't hear it in the video, but I told him "Hey ref, please watch this carefully.."

If you didn't see any armband tape, why didn't you grab the closest ref and have him inspect my arm? Why didn't you check my ghillie suit at the pits when I took it off, where I have happened to be staged in the EXACT same place for the past 4 years? Why do you wait until a week after the event, to post these bullshit invented stories on the internet? You could have pleaded your case anytime during the whole weekend, you wait until NOW to start crying?

God I hate fucking crybabies, here's some kleenex for ya

Hahahaha I have not been on your youtube channel bitching for 2 days you must have me confused for some one else. Way to act like an adult. I did get a ref and he said you had blue tape but barely visible. I tried to get a ref to check your stuff but you ran away too quickly to have gotten a ref. And why didnt I go to ur staging area, because Im tired of your premadonna shit and how you act like you are without mistake. You always bitch about something each legends yourself.

-LL2 was when you were bitching about being on the same team as PBN and had to be switched.
-LL3 or LL4 was when you got upset that PBN got thanked for the auction and Techpb didnt get any mention because you brought like 140 people and you threatened to never come back.

I was there and saw both these temper tantrums first hand. So I dont wanna have any dealings with you personally thats why I wouldn't go to where you chill. So dont talk to me about Kleenex when you have the temper of a 5 year old.

I "ran away too quickly"?!?!?!

hahahahaha I walked away, I stopped two or three times to talk to people, and walked at a normal pace back to the pits. You claiming that I "sprinted" back to the pits in a full ghillie suit?

So instead of bringing up to Viper (who's command tent is 100 feet away from where I was staging), you wait until you get on the "interwebz" to bitch and cry about it?

If you are tired of my "premadonna" shit, then get the fuck off my website. You are the one making accusations here, I didn't say anything to you. You've got my attention, would you like today to be your last day on TechPB? I'll show you how much of a "premaddona" I am, you're in MY HOUSE right now. I pay the server bills here, this website is in MY name.

Tell me, would you like today to be your last day on TechPB? Got the admin control panel open sweetheart.....

I thought PBnation was the place where people got banned for upsetting the mods and techpb was different. So if someone has a different opinion you threaten to ban them? Do you wat you want, but your the one ending up looking childish not me. Oh no someone upset you lets ban them so they dont tell their side of the story when i killed 8 people that turned into 50.

^^^ that's the answer I wanted.

Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to double check your warn log. It looks like you were banned for trolling, flaming, and ganging up with MZinCamo and PatmanBegins a while ago. When you were suspended for trolling, you re-created another account.... meaning you are now ban-on-sight.

I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to check back through your warn logs, especially with your recent BST infractions, have a nice ban :-)

While yes, I am friends with him in real life I am not going to argue this. I voiced my opinion on the video, got a response from you (may have been obscured by crawling) which I consider fair, and I am happy.

Great move, great timing.
