Ok so I picked up an old Spyder Hammer for cheap. It shoots great but the Velocity is all over the place.
Ive put in new springs but I still get 30+ difference in velocity shot to shot and it tends to shoot hot more often than not. Makes no difference if I run HPA or CO2. I still get the spikes and velocity inconsistancies.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the best i can say is to take the lowest spring you have and cut it, smaller only by a bit, then try it..

Try a different barrel. I had a Spyder Victor and a mix of bad paint and that cheap barrel I was getting -+20 or 25. Also check your valve and pin. Make sure its clean.

Very possible that you're getting partial rollouts. Try a small bore barrel, or if you're cheap use tape or nail polish as a detent.
