all of them are useless upgrades except for the 14'' barrel and screw kit IMO and the hard case

cosmetics have changed a touch - nothing significant.
performance? nope, semi only board stock. It does have the eye channels milled in the body - but until we know how much the new board and eyes cost we don't know if this is an improvement.
so, not improved - just re-released.

Was ready to get an sp1, then saw the g1. After handling it, I decided on it, and purchased today. number 00163 to be exact.
Difference, as far as I know, from the sp1 to the g1, are:
longer barrel: 14 inch vs whatever it came with before.
Adjustable feed neck: either right, left, or center feed. Also comes with elbow adaptor.
-it is also important to note that the left/right feed as well as the center feed, are made of plastic painted to look like the metal of the marker.
no battery wiggle
Both a stock and a standard backplate
-Important to note that the gun WILL NOT fit into the box with the stock attached. Even with the buttplate of the stock removed, it will not fit, even if you mod the foam inside.
The manual is now on CD-rom instead of a paper manual.
It says G! on the side, I imagine where it used to say SP1
To remove the stock, you must remove the stock plate adaptor. You have to do this every time you put it into the case. Pain in the ass.
It comes with a Smart Parts Barrel Sock.
The case is of high quality. Very high quality. High impact plastic, with a very dense foam inside. With the box my g3 came in, I can push my finger hard enough into it to feel the box on the bottom. Not happening with this foam.
The board, from what my pro-shop says, is coming extremly soon. He says that he is hoping to have it on Monday, and if not then, it will be coming in the next "couple of weeks".
The price for the board is 69.99.
And lastly:
The battery does not rattle.
Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. I didn't think to bring my tank, so have not put paint downrange. Full review w/ unboxing coming in the next few days!

I see it online for $64.95 on Actionvillage and firstcall paintball. However, AV looks to be a preorder.
