Ok guys I'm old to the sport but new to the tourney play I need advice for what kind of gun I should purchase I want something reliable. Easy to maintaine. Air effcient and under $400 I have my gear. Empire events. Prophecy z2 empire 68/4500 tank and empire pack. I'm not worried about marker looks and I would rather buy new then used preference thing. So what do you guys suggest.

I'd say the etha at that price range. you have pe standing behind their product and that alone is worth the money. I have heard great things about them and few bad things.

on the flip side, wait a little while longer and increase your budget and you can get into the mid range of axe/etek/drone and probably be happy with any of those choices. its your preference really.

I second the Etha lol. You also can't go wrong with any older model high end gun.

Axe or extcy. I know personal experience means little to online forums, but Disruptive was one of the earliest places to sell the Etha, and as a result, tons of players bought them there that lived locally. At the field, however, all of them have broken, little due to user error too. I would go with an Axe or GoG extcy. Both very good guns. The extcy is a proven, well functioning and simple platform, based directly off the Ion XE, yet has all the things would have made the Ion XE good.
The Axe is a top of the line torunament marker for half thr price of high ends. The axe was the most winning paintball gun of 2012. Great design and great shot quality, it wont let you down. If you can, however, get used to its unusual ergonomics. A friend from the local pro shop is letting me use his this saturday/sunday, making it my 4rth time using the axe. I have used it in a few recball days, and for an entire season. Love it far too much it would be rape 4 seconds after if he decided to give it to me or sell it for low.

Obviously, you haven't met The Daniel (no one wants to meet this Daniel)
