I am buying a T2 soon so I want to throw on a carbon fibre barrel to reduce some weight (and I don't want to hear that its not necessary blah blah blah or don't waste the money blah blah blah). I really want a one piece, but the only one I can find is the DW Null and its .688 (I would way rather underbore). Any recommendations?

-edit- just found Stiffis lol so added them

Mrob... i own a DW and a Dye CF Boomstick.....and a 6.5

dont get a CF Boomstick because of a couple of reasons.
1. its not as light as a DW. its great for reducing sound signature, but not lighter than the DW.
2. smallest bore is .684. you might have rollout issues with your pump.
3. cost. this will turn off a lot of people.

get a DW in either 12 or 14in lengths. whatever you prefer..than pick up the necessary inserts. or a Freak Insert kit ;)

enjoy..CCM pumps are super nice.

hope this helps.

Appreciate it! Have you dealt with the stiffi's at all? I figure that I don't need a 2 piece barrel (or the DW Freak barrel because it still has a guide bore beyond the insert right?) on a pump because they are efficient enough. Any thoughts there?

im no expert on pump.. but ive always been advised that you underbore so you dont get rollouts. thats why you get a DW...and use different inserts based on what paint you're using.

as for stiffi... never used one before.

my vote goes to the critical 100g, its about as light as a carbon fiber barrel but is made of metal so its more durable. it also comes in small bore sizes, can be annod to match your gun and has a dickload of porting

You're still gonna need to underbore to prevent rollouts.

I've never used any of the above barrels, but Hebiki certainly knows his stuff, so I would trust his advice.

I show up at a field that I never been to before for some rec-play wearing cargo pants with a t-shirt....carrying a old mech Spyder and two pringle potato chip cans for pods shoved in the pants pockets. The stares are priceless and after the first game or so you get to see the grins from the ref and players who know....priceless.

If you were getting a tourny marker I'd say boomstick, but since you're pumping, go Fibur.

I actually really like the stiffi barrels, but the deadlywind ones definitely are the best since they can use Freak inserts.

I've got my luxe already so I keep the stock barrel on it. I don't like the CCM barrels very much. Appreciate all this feedback guys!

I have both a DW null andfibrer, along with a stiffi mf, they are all good, the fibur is the best. I would assume even better for a pump were you may have extra benefits from under boring. Since you have a Lux, you may already have the inserts, if not, it is a great chance to try them in your Lux barrel ....
