Paintball Gear on the Ultimate Soldier Challenge

On the Ultimate Soldier Challenge on History Channel, teams were up against each other using simunition (simulated ammunition). They were wearing Save Phace masks and wearing Dye soft goods (slider shorts, forearm pads, etc.). Just thought it was pretty cool seeing paintball gear on mainstream TV.

Remember when history channel actually showed history?
And while I agree save phace masks aren't the greatest for paintball, they don't breathe well and are terrible for bounces, but when you have simunition flying, hard plastic is better than a pair of flexes, probably would rip through the rubber in those. It's my understanding If you get hit it the head with simunition it may or may not knock you out.

I have been shot with simunition and I wore a save phace mask. Some of the guys were wearing Grillz and they did just as fine.

BTW simunition hurts 2 times as much as a paintball.
