I always see guys at airsoft and paintball fields wearing "SWAT" and "Police" patches . I was wondering,if a police officer saw them, can they be arrested and charged for impersonating a police officer while wearing these patches?
( this might be in the wrong section i just thought this is where it belongs the most..)

I don't think so. It's like dressing as a doctor for Halloween.

I seriously doubt that someone would be arrested for wearing a simple patch that they bought at a military surplus store or online. It's just a patch and it's not like they are dressed in a full on police officer's uniform driving a sheriff's car around or something lol. It would be interesting to meet the police officer that would care so much to arrest a hobbiest over a Velcro patch they wear at a field.

I know that they probably wouldn`t even care. I`m just speaking hypothetically.

From Wikipedia, take it for what you will. (Because everything on Wikipedia is falsified, right?
)
Wikipedia said:
Dressing up as a police officer in costume, or pretending to be a police officer for the purpose of play or a harmless prank toward an acquaintance is generally not considered a crime, provided that those involved recognize the imposter is not a real police officer, and the imposter is not trying to deceive those involved into thinking he/she is.

no, generally they would wear it upside-down or in the wrong spot to mark that they are not real officers.
Give me gunz for my gunz.
