Our paintball team is having our first legitament practice and we arent sure what drills to run, any suggestions would help. I dunno if this is the right forum to put this question in but whatever.

Practice snap shooting one-on-one with one shot fired each time and do 30-second games to practice breakouts.

One on ones. Breakout practices. Sliding practices (look up Ryan Greenspan's video on youtube, very good).

Do things that have been previously stated, but if you want, look up Dynasty Dissected. It's a pretty good video if you can find it.

1v1, 2v1, and 3v1.
Snapshooting, laning, communication, off break, moving up.

Everything that's been said.

What about just suicides? Gotta work on the basics before you can shoot.

Well basic running/sprinting drills should also be done of course, but paintball specific drills.

alright. best drills i know that can make or break a team.

1. practice a safe breakout then an aggressive breakout. this works best with three man. so first you start the game with your team running to the nearest bunkers and playing tight. then next game running to almost 50 off break. mind you that the opposing team must be your team members like if there is 6 on a team you do 3v3. this drill will help players react to different breakouts appropriately.

2. get the darkest most visible paint you can find. stand about 25 to 35 feet away from your teammate. shoot ten balls at him while he tries to hit the paint with an empty hopper. like being a soccer go lie. this will teach your players to identify where lanes are being thrown at you so you can snap and shoot your opponent quicker.

3. diving. sliding. have each player slide into a dorito 10 times and dive into snake 10 times. simple. quick and easy but goes a long way.

hope this helps and remember, the best practice is playing people better than you. :D

A good one for communication is having a 3v5 (if you have enough guys), where the 3 all have guns, and only 1 of the 5 has a gun.

1v1s, have two team mates that are not playing constantly ask the guys playing different questions. EX: What was your mothers maiden name? What are you doing right now? Date of birth? Who are you playing against? This is a good drill for communication. Teaches the players to be able to focus on the game while learning how to listen and relay information in a loud enough way.

Another good drill to do is ladders. pretty simple, goes like this
1v1 winner goes to a 1v2
if he wins the 1v2 he goes to a 1v3
if he wins that, he goes to a 1v4
if he wins that, he goes to a 1v5

at anytime should that player loose, then you restart with different players.
make sure everyone gets a chance to at least a 1v2 or a 1v3 if possible.
