Tactical Barrel and Apex tip gap between the two inside barrel

Hi all, I'm just curious if anyone else have this combo and notice a gap inside, between barrel and tip? I recently purchased a tactical barrel and apex tip and for some reason I wanted to check to see if there is a gap inside. Long and behold, I did notice a decent gap. It is like the size of probably 3(maybe more?) #20 o-rings.

I have contacted custom products and they said that its normal and won't affect anything. Like I said I'm just curious about this gap and if anyone else have it as well.

Any info from anyone would be helpful as I don't really like the gap between the barrel and tip. Maybe it is just all in my head but I'll like to know if others have this gap as well or its just me.
