My pro shop said they couldn't fix it they don't have the parts. Which gun is more reliable mini or Extcy? I still don't know which I want.

both will work great, if you can try them out at a field. I would put the timmy up on the bst it could fetch a good price.

I had an older style intimidator, and the thing was a bitch to do maintenance on. It wasn't neccessarily difficult, it was just a lot more complicated than newer guns and a lot of stuff could go wrong if you didn't know exactly what you were doing. Plus I absolutally hate the membrane pad that controls the board, and the stock frenzy board is impossible to set up for 12.5 psp. Not too mention, the intimidator is much bulkier and heavier than newer guns.
I don't think that the extcy would be a bad choice at all. They use proven technology, and with an aftermarket bolt such as the L7, it can have awesome efficiency and shoot just as good as the intimidator.
Not to hate on the Timmy, but I had a headache with mine and I can say that it wasn't worth it for me, so I can definitely see why gnarlee is hesitant to bother with older guns.
Don't hesitate, just sell the thing and move on to something simpler. There are a hundred things that can go wrong during a paintball game, so anything that you can do to take your equipment out of that equation the better.
