I posted a shooting video on Facebook to showcase my new marker. Big Mistake. I wore a mask, and right away i start getting shit thrown at me. It's mostly joking, but it's endless. I hate it. I mean wearing a mask when you're by yourself is for that "one in a million" instance where I need it, but I was showing a little common sense, and according I'm an idiot. This isn't the first time. I told one of them ( the one who asked why I was wearing a mask) I wear a padded shirt (padding on the forearms and kidneys), He wouldn't shut up about how "GAAAAYYYYYYYY" I was and how much of a pussy I am, blah blah blah.
Thank you all for listening to my rant.
So what do you guys think? Is it not that big of a deal?

It is, I agree. The fact of me being made fun of is what really set me off. This wouldn't bug me it was the first/only time I was made fun of because of paintball. I catch some crap for my gear, my attitude towards the game, or just how I play in general a lot, basically whenever I bring it up.

Dont really see a big deal of it. Some people are more sensitive to certain things than others though. If it really bothers you then tell them to knock it off and that it really messes with you. If they dont stop then they're douches and really dont seem like friends. If they're more of acquaintances, who I see a lot of people calling "friends," then just ditch them.

^Exactly! As funny as this is, i don't like being made fun of, and I know people don't either, so I try to keep my mouth shut. You never know how someone can take things. I took this instance not so lightly, because I hate getting made fun of what I wear or how I look. Sort of an insecurity, feminine I know.

I give my friend crap sometimes about his gear. He buys all of these pieces of crap because it's a "Good Deal". A couple of weeks ago he bought some pants that were too big,a jersey that was too big, and elbow pads that were too small. I'm still giving him a hard time about it and he doesn't get mad over it. Point being, your friends are just kidding with you. Try not to take it so seriously. You need to learn to laugh at yourself. They shouldn't have made fun of you for wanting to lose your eye sight. Just show them shooting videos of youtube, and more than half the people doing them wear masks.
