Title. What strange things do you do when you clean your gear?

I clean all of my barrels with hot water and apple scented hand soap, then let them air dry. I also tend to smell the breach of my guns to see if they have enough lube (yes, I know what Dow33 smells like lol) I also have to take my gear apart in a certain order.

Do you guys have any whacked out cleaning habits?

(and yes, pointless thread is pointless.)

Using a gun that's been hardly maintained and tossed from person to person more than a village whore is hardly a fair way to compare the marker.

First thing I do is put my clothes I wore that day in the wash. Then I start with my mask, and then my gun. Nothing too extreme just basic bolt cleaning and lubing.

Every time I clean my marker, I put it next to a dead bird on the ground and proceeds to dance while I sing a Meredith Monk song.

When I get home I usually start with my mask, rinse my barrels, and last laundry.

It's not really weird, but I always go Marker -> Mask -> Gear (Pants, jersey, boots etc.).

And for my marker its Bolt -> Barrel -> Marker Body (breech, bolt face etc.).

I dont think it is weird, but since everyone around me thinks it is weird, maybe it is. I clean all my hard goods with a toothbrush. Gun, loader, mask, tank reg, everything. I first wipe them down with my "dirty" microfiber, and then brush the shit out of everything with a wet toothbrush. It is practically the only way to get into most spots, and it keeps my stuff, ESPECIALLY grips, looking at their best. But I get comments every time I do it.

it'd only be weird if you used the same toothbrush for your teeth. :D

Typically I don't clean my gear until the day before I'm about to go out again lol.

I just throw all my clothes + pack + shoes in the wash together first, and then while those are going, I clean and relube my bolt and the reg if necessary. Then I wipe the whole gun down and use a soft bristled toothbrush to get into the little places my fat fingers can't get with a towel. Then I rince out my pods and barrel in the kitchen sink.

Once everything is done, I but it all back into my cabinet in my garage stuffed with paintball stuff until next time.

I clean everything twice. Once when I get home and another time before I go paintballing again.
