Alrighty... spring break is coming up, and my fellow players and i are trying to plan a war at the place i play... at night. In the dark. One guy had the idea about getting some old round bales of hay and positioning them in key points in the field (where most people will meet up, trails, boundaries)... and then setting them on fire. They should burn for a good while and provide ample amount of light for those areas.. I'm not really sure what to do though. Flashlights... spotlights... glow sticks? Any and all ideas\suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

planning a war? and you really think lighting the bales on fire is a good idea? sounds dangerous to me.

Glowsticks Ftw, we use them at my field whenever a nightgame is had.
Or maybe you could do some sort of capture the flag type game and use a lantern as the flag.
that would be pretty cool

I've tried zip-tieing glow-sticks to every ones mask. it worked okay ,but cheaters would put there glove over it. so that doesn't really work.
If your going to have round bales don.t light them on fire.
Put one round bale on each teams side dead in the center. One person from each team stands on top of there own sides bale with a flash light and tries to shine players on the opposing team. Players with flashlights can't be shot out. then switch that member every round to keep it fair.

If I didn't buy so many guns for the sole purpose of fondling them i'd be a very rich man.
Am I the only one that when they see FEP QUEST they read it as FAP-QUEST then chuckle silently?

Sorry if the word "war" came across negatively.. that's just what we called the matches when we were just starting out and it has stuck. We all are very safe, but come on.. as a 12 year old would you rather go to a paintball match or game? Or enter into a paintball war? He he he... anyway, but we need some sort of sustained light source because the field is pretty large, and if everyone carried a flashlight picking out the opposing team would be way too easy.

That's why he said one person from each team had a flashlight.

Spotlights can light up a huge area, you could get some rechargeable ones , and charge them in a car between games, while switching between 4 or 6 of them.
I've also played with generators and work lights. It was noisy ,but it made it more "War-like" because you couldn't communicate so easily.
