Victory Rippers back cap wont fully seat

after some basic maintance yesterday i noticed today that the backcap on the engine fully seat on the marker.

as you can see in the image its a fingernail gap right there, what can be the cure for this?

My v1 did the same thing and I could not figure it out for the life of me...

Make sure the post that holds the back cap on is screwed all the way into the back cap.

my entrouage vic did this form time to time... i just wiggled the back cap a bit and she would fully seat... if that doesnt work, make sure there is no debris in the post hole and as Hero suggested, make sure the post is screwed into teh back cap all the way

Tried to tighten it a bit but it was already seated fully, will try tomorrow and remove it and screw it back in.
