I have a phantom that I bought used on ebay (open class). I have to literally put my gun down against my leg to pump i all the way back. It feels like its grinding on metal and makes a horrible noise. I am 15 and not too strong, so I was seeing if my dad could. He also ended up having to put the tank on his thigh just to fully pump it back. I relubed the pump arm, the little guide groove, and all orings and springs. It didnt fix anything. This is my first phantom (and first pump) and I am pretty sure it is not supposed to be this way. I am sending it back to the seller and my dad really doesnt want me to buy used again and I dont think I want to either. Too many risks. So anyways, I was thinking about the azodin kaos pump. If I were to get one, I would get the black/gold with the single trigger frame and on/off asa- http://www.ansgear.c...CKGOLD&CartID=1 it also has a regulator. It seems like they fixed just about everything that was wrong with this one. So is it worth it? If not, do you guys have any other suggestions at around this price range new? Thanks in advance!

Used would be a much better option, but that is a good pump for the price.

So you are not going to bother to fix it?

Anyways it boils down to: smoother get a sniper/Sheridan marker, rougher: get a Nelson marker.

I tried to fix it, I took it apart, made sure everything was in right, lubed everything, I made sure the guide rod was level, and thats about all I know how to do with phantoms haha.

Good stuff, sometimes rebuilding it you undo your unidentified mistake and fix it. So how do you like it now?

Good to hear you got it fixed. Phantoms are rock-solid guns.
I even chose my Micro-Phantom over my CCM T2; I love it that much.
