So here is my issue. I play paintball at my local feild. I was ona team, but the team fell apart because almost everbody is away for collage. So I am looking for a new team. There are only 2 teams in my area. One has no open spots. The other is the hard part of the story. I was going to buy a gun from who is now the owner of the team. I had to back out of the deal becuase i was going through a hard time finacially. I thought he would undestand, but there was no reply. I play pa8intball with some of there players alot, and i go to school with some of the members and that is also part of the problem. I used to be friends with one of the more respected players on the team, but we had a falling out over stupid shit, and now between hm, and the ownser having mixed feelings, it seems virtually impossible for me to join a team. HELP

And BTW I am 14

Best advice, talk it out with everyone. Clear up the animosity and see if everyone can move past it.

Seriously. Do this. Go with friends if they're into it, but you'll meet more people if you go without a "team".

Me and my friends don't play on a team. We just play well together. Have some o your ballin friends and form an unofficial team lol. No name just going to the field together and learning to work with each other.

It's a nice middle groud

Story of my life, never cared to join a team.

OP, paintball drama is stupid. you don't need to join a team, just play for fun.
and what is a team even for at the age of 14. do you actually enter events and play to win, or is it just a group of people you play with every once in a while?

The team will come, just let it happen naturally. Good things come to those who wait.

If you want something too much you will never attain it.

I've been in 4-5 teams, none of which I asked to join in. They asked me.

did you just reply to your own statement...

nevertheless, i've been invited to a couple teams before, turned them all down because i didn't want to play. just practice and get better, people will notice you. make the team want you, not you wanting the team.

Why hang out with people you don't like or don't like you?
Just play rec-ball as a walk-on. That's what I've done for all of my paintball career and I've had to deal with absolutely no stupid drama whatsoever. Keep the sport fun by avoiding unnecessary bullshit; play whenever you want, however you want, and with whomever you want.

It's funny about all this talk of drama. I've never experienced any drama with my teams, but that's because they were all well established and organized teams, or factory teams.

Then again, that's the only teams that have taken to my appeal well enough to join. I hate most things 'local' or 'mom n pop', and it goes the same for teams. I want an organized team that's either well established or has their shit in order. I hate the whole "we're a local team that just started" or "hey you guys wanna form a team together?"
Because those just go down in flames.

The talk of drama is coming from the fact that the OP is already having drama with one of the teams he's thinking of joining. I wouldn't expect actually being on the team would make it that much better.

i've seen ther threads in here with peeps worrying abut joining a team.

if you really want to be on a team that badly, then just make your own. i'm not sure if people dont realize how simple it is, you basically get some guys, pick a name and voila .. youre a team. have a few practices, or don't .... but then YOU are the ones that have have kids wanting to join you, and you can pick and choose.

i agree about playing alone, i don't like to do it ... i always take a bud or meet some buds ... but the team thing is just wanting to be accepted by others .... make your own

Just play the game. I have played many times without knowing anyone at the field. Some of the best days of play I have had.
