Does anyone know of anyone making a completely clear marker? Maybe made out of Plexiglas or acrylic? Has anyone tried? Is it possible? I know you might have issues with current breakbeam eye systems, but what other potential issues could there be?

I've always wanted a C3 with a clear combustion chamber, so the light from the explosion could be seen. But I don't think a clear gun would stay clear for very long, the build up of metal shavings, lube and scratches would probably just make it a mess.

there is a clear autococker that WGP made to un-confuse people. it wasn't fully functioning though.
The ultimate truth in paintball is that the interaction between the gun and the player is far and away the largest factor in accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

Someone should make a marker out of the transparent aluminum Scotty invented in Star Trek IV.

I think that with as fast as most markers fire, the ability to, actually, see anything useful (short of using a high speed camera) negates the utility of having a clear body...

But it would look cool.

There are 2 kinds of people in this world. Those who think they can and those who think they can't. both of them are right.

acrylic is pretty machinable, lexan is too, but not nearly as transparent when machined.
