I'm looking to buy some new pants and i'd like to see everyone's opinions on dye and empire pants. What are the pros and cons of each, differences in weight, padding (bounces), durability, etc. Thanks

Can't speak for the dye but I have the empire. They are really nice. Padded like crazy, and plenty of breath ability

Dye all the way baby :) they last forever you get what you pay :) if you can find your size in the previous generations I would get that instead that this years pants much cheaper and they are still fantastic :)

i just bought some c8s for 30 bucks and they are terrific plenty of breathability great padding in the knees hips and back for a pack. I like the empire ones too though but ive only had experience with dye and valken

i have both. Dye pants are lighter, more breathable, and a little more flexible. empire pants are heavier, but have more padding.

both are great. if you can swing for both, you'd be very happy with dye's in the summer and empire's in the winter.

If you want to feel like a tank and feel like you can plow through anything, get the PE pants.. However their sizing is a little weird atleast IMO.

I would vote for dye pants, they really are built like tanks. I just retired the used c6s I bought used.

If money isn't an issue, c13s are fantastic.
