I'm a manager at a motorcycle/atv/utv dealership. I've got a good line on a nice gear bag, knee pads, and elbow pads. While not technically made for paintball, it'll work. I've also got some connections on protective gear, for offroad. I wanted some input on this particular idea to see if this'll work. Thanks.

probably a bad idea. If it's hard rubber/plastic it will cause more breaks, meaning you'll be getting shot out easily if people get a shot on that.

Really, you could just wear a t shirt, a hoodie sweater, and you'd be fine!

i dont think a chest protector is necessary for paintball unless you're a girl(seriously).

either go without one, or spend the money on one designed specifically for paintball.

Out of the hits I've taken, the ones to the chest/abdominal region are the least painful. Shots to the head(even with a hat on), hand and bony areas tend to be the most painful.

Getting shot i the nipple while being bunkered hurts, and I'm a guy.

I'm very bony, especially in the rib area but it still just doesn't hurt as much as other bony areas for some reason. Can't say I've been shot in the nipple though...

you get used to it. not specifically being shot in the nipple, but being shot in general. after a while, you'll be thinking more about being shot out than actually getting shot.
i dont think chest protectors are necessary, but if you are going to use one, get one designed to protect you in a paintball environment.

Yeah, after a while hits just get easier and easier to brush off. But, then again I'm 6'2" 220 lbs. so being a big guy helps.

With a good pair of PB pants you do not need this. Cups limit your movement.

Not really. I play a lot of baseball and never have I been limited due to a cup. The main reason i wear it though is that i don't have paintball pants. However, even with pants i will still probably wear a cup.

To each is own but I get too much pinching and LOVE to superman dive. Doing that with a cup = no-no.

It would work, but overall, chest protectors aren't necessary.
