Hey everyone, I've always had a fascination with old guns, and I've decided that once my pump sells, I'm going to buy a Karni. I wanna know how hard cocker maintenance is. I'm not an expert at teching, but I usually can learn pretty fast. What would I be getting myself into?

Not really. I don't know a lot about cockers either. I just am looking for an E-Cocker.

karni triggers are not hard to walk at all... they are the same as any E2 trigger... timing an E-blade is not difficult at all and maintenance is not difficult either, once you have an autococker set up it is a tank.

Karni's aren't that hard. They are a bit easier than an old Cocker, like a 98. Or even a 92.

The old cockers are much harder to tech then something new like a Karni, yo shouldn't run into to many problems.

Well, I think I may be going a different route and getting another gun for now. I will get a Karni eventually, but now I know that I'll be safe.

karni triggers are optical, i have 2 karnis, never had a problem walkin either one

cocker maintenance isnt too bad, like any gun, its the disassembly and assembly that can be a pain,
i've got 5 cockers, 2 karnis (1 pumped now) and 2 old mechs and a soon to be pump. if you know someone that can walk you through it, its not that bad to learn

The funny thing about 'cocker maintenance, is if you get the right setup (mostly just a delrin bolt), the only thing you ever do to it is a few drops of oil in the ASA.
The hard part about autocockers are timing the suckers. If you get an E-Cocker, like a Karnivore, then the board does all that for you. If you really want to tinker with stuff, there's no substitue for a mechanical cocker. I'm not going to say they're smooth, but they shoot so amazingly badass that it's just too good to put down.
