How do I make a team logo?

Hey guys, I created a team in the Middle East and I was wondering how do I make a team logo. Do you guys use a Computer program?

My team made a rough sketch on paper and scanned it to the computer. From there we just fixed details in photoshop

I'm taking graphic design classes.. So if anybody needs a logo done pm me id be more than happy to help. And I recommend illustrator. Photoshop is a pain to use. Just draw it, scan it (don't color it), open it in illustrator and then live trace it and select live paint. It will let you correct anything and then color it. Then send it to a print shop with your jerseys and they will print it for relatively
cheap.
