Could it be possible to take an unregulated marker, put an HPA tank with a regulator on it,and use the tank regulator as a gun regulator?I know that it wouldn't be as consistent, but couldn't it work?Like, say, use a ninja slp reg so that the ball is firing with only about 250 psi,the same as most regulated markers would.Or would it effect velocity too much?

On most guns its not going to work. Take a Spyder or Tippmann and feed them 250psi and they will laugh at you, unregulated guns pretty much take 800psi.

Yeah any gun that doesnt have a regulator probably wont work on low pressure anyway.

It'll work. Marker only cares about it's input. Many people use quick change cartridges instead of a reg when pumping a cocker.

So long as the tank is putting out the gun's required operating pressure, it'll work.
A reg is designed to control the air pressure leaving the source, whether it be on the gun or on the tank.

For mechanical markers that is what you are already doing. The velocity control on mechs are mainly just air flow restrictors, but its at whatever psi the input is.

most guns run under 200psi now.
if a gun runs at 100 or so, you could risk blowing the noid if the gun doesnt have an LPR, or if it does have an LPR you could just as easily blow the LPR.

if you got a tank that puts out your exact operating pressure, then it will 100% work without issue.
