So as the title suggests, I'm looking to buy a nice spool valve gun in the price range of $600-$800. My two favorites are the Geo 2.1 and a DM11 or DM12. I'm just looking for you guys' take which spool valve marker is the best in that price range. Thanks for the help :) (mods if this is in the wrong forum, I'll gladly move it- just tell me)

Having shot and owned both a 2.1 and a DM12 I found the DM12 to be a bit smoother, but far less reliable. If I were you I'd get a 2.1, it certainly gets the job done, mine was more efficient, easier to keep up, and (in my opinion) will retain its value better if you ever decide to part ways with it in the future

You can find a luxe for that price range. I've shot/owned pretty much any gun under the sun, and I always end up back to a luxe. Back to a luxe now after selling my GT (which is also an amazing spool)

I would have to agree with you here, I've loved all my luxes. Easy to maintain, not the greatest efficiency (not that it really makes a difference), and some of the smoothest shooting guns I own. Not to mention they retain their value as good or better than any other marker available.

I'm actually getting pretty sweet efficiency out of my 2.0. I can shoot an easy 8pods + a hopper, and I still had a bit of air left, so I'm guessing 9ish pods. I don't see many people carrying more than that on a field at one time, even in psp and nppl. Best resale on the market right now I would say.

You can get a 1.0 with 2.0ups for 750-800. Maybe a 1.5, but most likely not a 2.0. But easily a 1.0.

DM12, I have a DM 11 and i have had no problems with mine besides the eye pipe finally breaking after 50,000 shots roughly. Maintenance is easy and it shoots smoothly too.
When I'm sad, I stop being sad and become awesome.... true story

not denying your experience, but i've found DM's to be the most reliable spool valves on the market.

i was kinda thinking the same thing. after owning a dm8, pm8 and dm12 i can say that they are the only line of guns that i have never had a problem with on game day.
There are 2 kinds of people in this world. Those who think they can and those who think they can't. both of them are right.

No that's more in the $400-$500 category.
I have and I always will be a Christian Baller.
My setup: Because I'm a bad*** Tippmann 98 custom with a shake and bake and two 20oz C02 tanks. Be jelly!

They go for $600 if they are in 9.5/10 condition.

a dm8 isnt. a dm8 can be upgraded with all of the dm9 parts. very solid bet if youre looking to spend under 400.

Yeah a dm8 can easily be had for under $400 but I believe Stefan was saying that a dm9 or 10 was in the op's price range when it is in fact below.
