Hey guys! I'm getting bored of most of the other games I've been playing, and I wanted to ask if you know of any good first person games that are more focused on the precision of the shot, instead of who can unload their clip into the other person the fastest. I've played Dishonored and I really liked it. I don't really like Skyrim too much because I always feel obligated to do all of the side quests then I get confused and I never progress in the game. But I'm asking if you guys know of any games that have, maybe, single shot rifles, or bow and arrows, something where none of the weapons shoot quickly so the idea of the game is to make each shot count.

I'm open to any suggestions, thanks in advance!

Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2, and Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway. RSV2 is the most underrated shooter ever made IMO

Counter-Strike. Pretty much any edition.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is also good for this.

Since when did two of the most popular spray and pray games become anything like he asked for?
CS and COD are both games of who reacts faster than the other.

That seems like he's asking exactly for the games I suggested. It's not just about reaction speed, it's about who actually aims, controls their fire, and gets the shot that matters. There's no Halo style where you just stare at each other and shoot (if you're using the original Rifle) for a long time.

Both CS and COD are 99% about reaction times. Have you ever played them online?
Go try out Red Orchestra and tell me how tactical CS and COD are. ;)

Shooting a guy in the face with a bolt-action rifle at 200m without a scope and very realistic distance rendering isn't easy. And the fact that spray and pray doesn't work at all in this game is also a thing. You can try it, but in almost all scenarios you end up unloading your clip in the wall over his head and dead on the ground. You can have an MG42 for all I care, he can still shoot your balls off with a pistol.

CS is hardly 99% reaction time. If you're reg scrimming, or playing pubs with a half decent team theres a ton of teamwork and tactics, although its still an arcade shooter. It takes quite a bit of experience with CS to spray and pray effectively....and you'll still get 1 deag'd or decapitated by an ak.

Cod on the other hand, yea...its reaction time.

If you play only on big maps, BF3 could be what you want.

Shit guys, you were right about Red Orchestra 2, it's on a steam sale for $7.50 so i justified it to myself. Worth it. I like how you don't have a HUD telling you how many rounds you have left. I also like how the computer enemies aren't dumb, they'll actually come after you, around a corner or something. I'm still trying to get the hang of meleeing, but so far I really like it! Thanks for the suggestion, great game!
