Only problem I have with my main field is the paint. Pretty much the only thing they sell is Valken Infinity. Sure they say they have mid grade, but they're always out of it. And I'm not going to pay $20 more for tourny paint...dont need that good of paint. At least the cheap stuff is always fresh and breaks decently. OH and usually only filling to 3,000psi. Other than that from other fields I've been to I dont like unkept fields, bad field layouts, deflated airball fields, wipers, lame refs, lame proshops and annoying people.

Oh yeah, I hate deflated air bunker's. Why oh why can we not return to the days of HyperBall. I loved that style of play, I also liked the larger style speedball layout. It made for what I felt to be a more strategic style of speedball.

Wipers, people ramping all day, shit paint, and lack of people.

No joke, I gogged a guy and he wiped the hit off of his mask lens. After the game he seriously tried to convince me that he thought he didn't do anything wrong because, "he thought it didn't count because he couldn't see so he wiped it so he could see". Fuck that guy.

BIGGEST THING TO HURT FEILDS IS NEW COMERS NOT COMING BACK

Some the reasons i think this happens is:

Dishonest players (wiping, higher velocities, ROF or cheater modes not allowed by feild )
Extream cost of paint (some feilds out here charge up to $150 a case)
Ramping against renters. I never agree with ramping but for walk ons its just not fair (for myself i go as far as i wont own a marker with ramping)
UNSAFE conditions wether that be feild in disrepair dirty or lack of standard rules enforcment
Uninvolved refs who not looking out for saftey as #1 and not inforcing rules #2 players should be HONEST and call them self out should not NEED a ref
Lack of respect to others OR EGOs(not the marker). Honestly we all at a feild to have FUN we all playing the same game. So go out have some fun. Play the game the way you wish (INSIDE THE RULES) and let others do the same Dont be ripping on some one else for not playing like you or how the SHOULD offer help to those interested in the help but do so with RESPECT. Too many players at the feild i see TALK DOWN to the newer players when they the ones that are NEEDED TO HELP THIS SPORT. Instead we should play long side them offer help and LEAD BY EXAMPLE. Leave the EGOS at home (the mental egos not the planet eclips marker).

Thankfully i very happy with the feilds i frequent FlagRaiders both indoor and outdoor. Though paints a bit pricy (ok ALOT pricy) i manage cause i shooting pump most times anyway and the paints of good quality. The feilds well taken care of and games are usually fair. The owner Joe Kimpson is very involved in the industry and treats players well. Feilds have a good staff and fair rules.

why should i say a thing it already been said

Agree with the long waits. Worst is when your ready to go but some dippy needs to go back and fill his tank.

I try to tell the other refs where I work to avoid this since it is so frustrating. I just say, "Should have checked 5 minutes ago when the last game ended", and start the match without them.

Long walks, and field-only paint with insanely marked up prices(I could get great paint at my local shop for $40, but nah... you gotta pay $80 a case to play here). Sadly every field around here suffers from one of them :(/>

It's amazing how food in a restaurant is so much more money than in a grocery store too. :)

I am not by any means condoning people acting like assholes, but I will say that when I have to choose between the interests (what field to play etc.) of someone who comes and plays every weekend and buys paint, gear, etc. from my fields proshop, and someone who is playing for their one time that year... its kinda an obvious choice. We had an incident I watched while out where one of our long time refs was playing and offered a man on the other team a surrender. The guy shot back and the ref shot him out. Afterwards the new player went and complained to the field owner that he was shot from 10ft. away. Obviously he was in the wrong; just something to think aboubthat its not always the guys with fancy gear that can be assholes, because being a d-bag is universal.

At my local fields I pay $120 per case of crappy paint. Canadian paint prices are ridiculous. :(
