In a sense, under-boring squeezes a paintball as it travels down the barrel. What if 80% of the circumference of the ball was squeezed, but a shaft of air was allowed to pass on one side of the ball. This shaft or divot would run the length of the barrel. Has this been tried before?
With good paint to barrel match, it seems like this would create an interesting backspin. Doesn't ball spin create a more predictable shot?

wouldn't the drag from the underbore just prevent it from spinning
and i think punkworks tested the apex and flatline barrel and found out that they did not increase the accuracy, it just moved the shot spread

Even if it worked, it would be jolly expensive to produce.
