Pe 50 cal complications

Started to put my 50 cal kit on my etek 2 and.... It doesn't fit.
The feedneck insert wouldn't go in the gun and the feedneck wouldn't go on

Did you try putting it in the right way forward? Did you take out your regular detents before trying to put it in?

same happened to me i had to tap it in with a rubber mallet, but i don't know how to get it out now...

Ya. I did everything right. The breech insert fit great as well as the bolt. Just the feedneck insert and the feedneck

i emailed PE about it a couple days ago, still waiting for a responce. same with mine, everything fit well except the feedneck insert

Is the little slot in the top of the feed neck insert facing the barrel?

mine was, heard bacl from PE they said that i should try firmer paint (well no shit) didn't comment on the kit not going in or getting it out

i might later but i don't have a ton of free time so email is better for me.

just got another email back, they are having me email another person in the U.S. for a replacement feedneck insert. still no info on getting it out.

not everyone was at NPPL i need to call for a new feedneck insert tomorrow but they didn't give me any help on getting it out. i talked to the local PE service center and they said as long as i wasn't worried about damage to the insert they could get it out

shop couldn't get the feedneck out, it is going to the main US PE service center for removal and replacement

Nope, the insert sits in the body, they give you a whole new .50 feedneck.

more than likely they will drill a slot in the insert on one side, drill a slot on the other and it will fall out. the rest of the kit will come out then and they will warranty the damaged parts. the body should be just fine.

finally got it back a couple weeks ago, took a bit longer but they gave me an entire new .50 kit, this one had the same problem with the feedneck insert, so i took it to my machinist and we turned the OD down very slightly till it slid in and out snug, but i could jam my pinkey finger in it and yank it out, then put it on a polishing wheel to give it a nice shine and it easily slides now. problem solved. you can EASILY sand it down enough with sand paper seems like PE measured it before anno and the anno was just a little thick, this kit is the same color, blue inserts.

anyways, as far as i am mine works fine, though i think they changed some settings because the bolt isn't moving consistently.

edit: fixed the bolt problem, seems the o-rings on the bolt were making it just too tight of a squeeze, the bolt from the original kit (that is at my girlfriends house) doesn't have this same problem, but removing the o-rings solved the problem just fine, or atleast enough to get by until i get the other bolt. now i just need to get to walmart and grab another case to re tune this thing.
