Spoolies: Shoot gr8, not as efficient as poppies, shoot softer
Poppets: Shoot a little less smooth, louder, more efficient

The Axe just looks downright badass, and imo, the ergos look pretty nice, too, but not everyone may like them.
The Reflex Rail has badass ergos.

Either one is great, I'd need to have both in my hand to pick one since they are both great looking guns with tons of people who recommend each.

I agree with kingjurzy, The axe is superior. And it gets even better with upgrades while the reflex rail is maxed out for itself and really sucks.

Why is the axe superior?

Why is the axe superior?

The Rail is nice to hold... That's about it. Yes, it has a nice trigger and a good ASA... But it shoots like garbage, it has sub-par efficiency, and the Axe has a simpler bolt system.

Once you get over the awkward front grip on the Axe, it's an awesome shooter with good efficiency and a decent trigger.

Drone's a great marker, though I'm not a fan of the trigger. The Axe trigger is...hmm, I'm looking for the words to say this...fan-f%*@ing-tastic. The reflex rail has a nicer look and is slightly smoother up until you put a lurker bolt in the Axe - has an ok trigger but nothing like the Axe. The Axe is slightly heavier but it maybe feels more balanced than the reflex rail.

I'd call it Axe then the Drone then the Reflex Rail based on the markers mentioned above.

However, this doesn't include the other "mid-range" markers that are also viable options: PE Etek 4, Tippman Crossover, Alien Invasion, DP Fx, and PE Etha. I'd recommend looking at this post from former mod Latsabb: http://www.techpb.co...1

If you are considering the new 2013 reflex, it has an lpr on it which will give you even better shot quality than the 2012 reflex, which shoots quite nicely as it is.

Get the AXE, it has an awesome shot quality and is super quiet and efficient. The reason I don't like the proto reflex rail, is because the hyper 3 reg is way too tiny for my hands and tends to unscrew as you play.

Also, I've heard that getting the bolt engine out of the Reflex is kinda difficult. The Axe has too less bolt removal and doesn't get stuck inside the bolt housing. Plus there are all kinds of aftermarket bolts to customize your AXE.

Both are great guns, i also own both and like the axe better for me it seems more reliable and feels better in the hands but that is all personal preference. The axe, thought, gets way better efficiency and i feel has a better trigger.
