When it comes to scuba diving, only use equipment designed for Scuba diving. While I guess you technically "could" try to rig something up, personally I wouldn't even attempt it.

So I'm sure there's a way to do it, but it's hardly practical for an actual scuba diving session.
As mentioned above, it would be better used as an emergency backup.
