I actually like Midnight a lot. Especially for the price. My local field uses Valken Infinity, and it's not too bad. It's probably in a similar price range. The field charges $42 a case, but I imagine its less than that at a shop or something. Looks like its $35 a case at ANS:

I like Diablo heat. Most people don't like it,but I think it's pretty good.I shoot it alot since my field only allows white fill paint, and I'm cheap/poor.It doesn't dimple alot, but it is only $40.

Valken is not my favorite, but Crusade and Graffiti are decent. I much prefer Kee paints such as Formula 13 and Premium. I've heard mixed reviews about GI, but I've never used it.

My team uses Draxxus RecSport paint for practice because it is inexpensive yet still a good overall paintball. If you wanted a step up you could go for bronze but IMO thats already to high for just recreational play. Remember the Etek isn't the most gentle of markers but it should be able to shoot MOST of the paint out there. However my Etek 3 hates super high end paint like Draxxus Hellfire Gold & G.I. 5 star. I think its because I have a hush bolt a that moves incredibly fast compared to my Luxe that is a spoolie w/ the feather touch manifold engaged (doesn't shoot at very high ROF but very soft on paint).
