yesterday me and my friends went to our local field CPX sports in Joliet IL, while in a game a kid that was with us bunkered and bonus balled a little kid so bad that he started balling his eyes out. my other friend proceeded to take the kid and walk him off the field because he was taking pictures. then later on after that game, the kid was bragging about bunkering the little kid. and i overheard the little kid say mom i never want to do this again.

I was so angry at that kid its not even funny. now that little kids going to go tell people about how terrible paintballing is and how mean they were. it was a total loss for the paintball community, and it makes me so mad that people will just do that to a little kid and think nothing of it, the brag about it.

why didn't you go up to the guy and tell him what he did was wrong and if he didn't listen take it up with the manager

sorry, and i did i was like what the hell why would you just do that? and hes like cause i was playing and took the oppurtunity. so i said you didnt need to bonus ball him that was totally out of line. and he was like what ever it already happened and walked away.

If that ever happens to you at CPX, take the kid, go find a ref at the Air Fill Station, tell them what happened, and I can guarantee that CPX will set stuff straight. CPX Is a field that loves to cater to newer players, so the management is always looking out to prevent stuff like this.

Also, get your butt in the IL Ballers Club in my sig. Gets you a great group of guys that play around IL

That happened to me the first time I played, got about 10-15 bonus balls to my neck and shoulder area. I gave the guy a hard stare and walked off the field. I ask the surrounding players if they knew who that guy was cause I was ready to step up in his face and throw down. The guy happened to be a ref and came up to me afterwards and apologize. Although it was nice to have him apologize its still not cool and left a bad taste for the sport. I still play but sh*t like this pisses me off big time! Hope that kid comes back and plays again.

I think you should have went up to the kid and made him feel better about paintball. You could have told him not every player is like that and most are extremely nice and don't bonus ball without apologizing.

Hell, you could have even asked the kid if he wanted to go paintballing with you next weekend or something to get him back into the game with a positive attitude with someone who's more experienced.

Unfortunately this is true, its a well known fact that paintballers are dicks. Now this may seem harsh, but that kid isn't but a blip on the radar of paintball. Now, don't go off saying "Oh well your a dick", but it happens every weekend, I see kids get shot up, they get pissed they cry. If they can't take it they can't be playing. I saw this little kid who was aggressive as fuck, making it to their 30 off the break. It was one and one and they were searching for each other and the little kid found the other old dued and yelled surrender and the old guy turns and shoots the kid point blank in the stomach. You know what the kid did? He fell to the ground, almost crying. Seconds later the kid gets up and says "Nice shot". Now THAT'S a kid that can play, if your kid/friends kid isn't mature enough to do that then he can't play.

Oh...weird. At the field I play once someone is within 10 feet and calls surrender, the person is out no matter what.

this is all true about people quitting but it just sucks to see it happen to a kid like that. he was like 10 years old and his first time. as for the refs there noone said anything which is very suprising cause the cpx refs are very considerate about that stuff. and my friend and i walked off the field with him and were trying to talk to him so we did try to get him to come back but he was scared to. and i know theres not much we can do about that stuff but i still hate to see somebody walk away like that after someone is an a hole to him.

im surprised the way that alot of paintballers act im glad there not that bad around here but still bunkering a newbie should be grounds for an imidiate 1 day ban at any field espeicaly if the newbie is so young

I would've asked the kid what he wanted me to do so he would come back and play again. Maybe it would have been something personal against the other guy, though. Hehh.

Yeah its sad to see. If im going to attempt to bunker someone I like to have a decent idea on who it is. Few weeks ago when I played I was running up on the last player but when I came around the side I noticed he was a renter and decided to give him a nice barrel tap instead. Sure he turned around and shot me in the stomach but I would rather have it be me then him I guess.
