Qualifying for Class A National Championship Final-12 Tournament
Class A play at the National Championship consists of open/interconference play on Friday (usually 3 matches), possibly playoff games for the 2 play-in spots, and then a 12-team single-elimination bracketed tournament played on Saturday and Sunday.
The National Champion is the winner of the National Championship Final-12 Tournament. The 12 teams in the final tournament held on Saturday and Sunday will be selected as follows:
- Top two teams from each conference
- Top two teams from the Collegiate World Cup event (or one additional team from their conference if a conference team wins a Cup spot)
- Top two teams from Friday's play-in tournament
The Final-12 tournament is played as a single-elimination bracketed format. The winner of each conference plus the winner of World Cup will receive a BYE for the first round.
The NCPA uses the APPA player ID system to provide a more convenient and useful registration process. Each player must get a player ID number. Once your team captain has their ID number (one captain per school) they can create a team in the database and register for events.
It seems pretty straight forward but we've had a "interesting" time with Chris in the past so..... yeah.
All we have to do is show up to play in the "playoffs" for the big 12 game or be one of the top two at world cup for the college set. If UF is there, we'll have to beat them to be assured a spot for the big 12.
